This project is located within a luxury residence in the Wenshan Special District of Kaohsiung. The scope of work includes an indoor atrium, a rooftop sliding skylight, expansive fixed windows, and a daylight canopy, all constructed with high-performance laminated glass.
The glass features excellent light transmittance, bringing abundant natural daylight indoors and reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day. It also effectively blocks infrared and ultraviolet rays, minimizing indoor heat gain and protecting interior furnishings from damage.
The laminated structure offers superior sound insulation and enhanced safety by preventing glass shards from scattering upon impact, further improving the overall residential quality and security.

Case Description
 
This project is located within a luxury residence in the Wenshan Special District of Kaohsiung City. In response to the homeowner’s focus on natural lighting and spatial quality, a series of laminated glass structures were thoughtfully designed and installed, including an indoor atrium, a rooftop sliding skylight, expansive fixed windows, and a daylight canopy.

The client sought to maximize natural light while mitigating challenges such as overheating and furniture fading caused by intense sunlight. To address these needs, high-performance laminated glass with energy-efficient and protective properties was carefully selected, significantly enhancing overall comfort and functionality.

The design emphasizes a seamless integration of natural light with architectural elements, allowing daylight to flow freely through the space and interact harmoniously with the structure—creating a bright, transparent, and welcoming living environment.
 
The laminated glass used in this project features high light transmittance, efficiently channeling natural daylight into the interior and reducing daytime reliance on artificial lighting, thereby promoting energy savings. Its specialized interlayer blocks infrared and ultraviolet rays, helping to lower indoor temperatures during summer, enhance air conditioning efficiency, and extend the lifespan of interior materials and furnishings.

Additionally, the laminated glass provides excellent sound insulation, significantly reducing noise from traffic and the surrounding urban environment to create a quiet, refined living space.

In terms of safety, even in the event of impact, the interlayer prevents glass shards from scattering, minimizing the risk of injury.
