Located in Kaohsiung, the chairman’s office of a research institution features large floor-to-ceiling windows that had long been exposed to intense solar radiation, resulting in excessive indoor heat and consistently high air-conditioning loads during the summer. To enhance indoor comfort and improve energy efficiency, the space was comprehensively upgraded with Vastalent Green Energy’s Nano-Coated Insulated Glass. Through precision-engineered nano-scale coatings combined with a multi-layer insulated glass structure, this solution effectively blocks over 95% of infrared heat radiation while filtering out 99% of harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. Following installation, users reported a significant improvement in thermal comfort: heat buildup near windows during midday was substantially reduced, with perceived indoor temperatures decreasing by approximately 3–5°C. In addition, both the frequency and operating duration of air-conditioning were markedly lowered, delivering measurable and meaningful energy-saving benefits. |
